This Doritos campaign was music to the ears of those starved of festivals and gigs for 18 long months. It unpaused live music by incorporating augmented reality and partnering with Strawberries & Creem Festival to offer fantastic prizes.
By turning the iconic triangle Doritos crisp into a play button, #MakeYourPlay was born.
Forgotten what a festival feels like? Augmented reality was at hand to transport consumers straight into the festival vibe.
To unlock the AR and enter the promotion, consumers had to scan the QR code found on posters across the UK and on social media channels.
With tickets available to win for Strawberries & Creem Festival, as well as discounts on gigs through the DICE platform. The Doritos message was clear… it’s time to go and PLAY again.
