Everyone loves getting something for free!  A gift with purchase promotion is where a customer receives a free item or gift when they make a purchase. The gift is usually related to the product being sold or is something that the customer is likely to find useful or valuable.

The gift (or “premium” as it's sometimes referred to) is usually communicated oo-pack to catch shoppers’ attention. Typically the consumer will be asked to enter a unique code in order to redeem their free gift. Choosing a gift with a high perceived value and one that compliments the main product offers a powerful incentive to purchase.
